I set six magnets into the band, then laid a quiet line of stones where the braid meets—nothing forced, just placed where they belong. After that, I close it the same way I’ve closed every piece for forty years: slowly, deliberately, until it sits as one.
People who work with their hands have been drawn back to copper for a long time. I’ve never had to explain why.
